Odisea Labs is an innovation lab accelerating frontier technologies across Latin America. We back early-stage builders, publish open research, and run programs that turn ideas into products. We’re building the backbone of LATAM’s frontier tech ecosystem, and we’re looking for a part-time Financial Analyst to join our team.
This role is central to keeping our financial operations running smoothly - covering accounting, bookkeeping, financial planning, and fund disbursement. You’ll be responsible for building the systems that ensure transparency, compliance, and efficiency across Odisea Labs and our programs.
Accounting & Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate financial records, register and classify transactions, reconcile accounts, and manage ledgers.
Fund Disbursement & Invoices: Handle fund disbursements, payments to partners, process incoming/outgoing invoices, and manage vendor relationships.
Payroll: Coordinate and process payroll, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
Financial Statements: Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements, management reports, and provide insights for decision-making.
FP&A: Support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modeling to guide strategy and operations.
Compliance & Controls: Ensure compliance with relevant tax, accounting, and regulatory frameworks across our jurisdictions.
Cross-functional Support: Work closely with operations, partnerships, and program managers to ensure smooth fund flows and reporting.
Proven experience in financial analysis, accounting, and FP&A (startups, funds, or consultancies a plus).
Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, payroll, and invoice management.
Experience preparing financial statements and management reports.
Familiarity with US & LATAM accounting and tax systems.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills; detail-oriented.
Proactive, independent, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote environment.
Fluent in Spanish and English.
